SYMPATHY | Pres Duterte Leads Arrival Honors for the late PO3 Darwin Espallardo

NAIA Terminal III, Pasay City (DWDD) – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited the arrival of the remains of deceased PO3 Darwin Espallardo (Philippine Navy) at the Bay 116 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

The President took time to condole Cleofe and Dwyndyll Espallardo, wife and son of the slain petty officer, who stood beside the sealed cadaver.

Espallardo was one of the three operatives who were killed in a firefight with Commander Madrox and his men during an anti-drug operation on August 14, 2016 at Midsayap, North Cotabato. The other slain operatives were Corporal Jose Miravalles and Private 1st Class Jaypee Duran.

President Duterte vowed to help in the expenses of the Espallardo family by providing PhP250,000 from his social fund, as well as support the education of Espallardo’s son until college. He also assured the families of the other two slain operatives of the same assistance.
